This study was conducted under the program DASTA – PE6, with the title “Action 6.1 Study Development of the Institutional Framework for the Support of Students with Disabilities”. It is about identifying the needs of people with disabilites, intervening and making use of the available infrastructure of the Polytechnic School campus at Zografou, Athens.

 

The subject of this study focused on the:

- Collection and study of updated institutional and supporting data relating to the autonomous movement of people with disabilities.

- Viewing and recording of the existing building infrastructure of the Polytecnic School campus at

Zografou in ensuring accessibility to people with disabilities, through on-site visits in all the building facilities and recording on drawings their existing situation.

- Drawing process and presentation - in the form of graphical floor plans with symbols, accompanied with an explanatory memorandum – of the offered accesses, the necessary interventions and the proposed labeling.

 

The purpose of this study is to create a cumulative background with notes on designing specific solutions for access problems and the proposed labeling.
